RECIPE FOR TRADITIONAL HANDWA

Ingredients Required:

  • 500 handwa flour
  • 1big lauki (kisi huyi)
  • 2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tsp green chilli paste
  • 4tsp oil for moyan
  • 50 gms gud
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1cup curd
  • Salt as per taste

For bhagar

  • 4 tsp oil
  • 1teaspoon rai (sarso)
  • 1teaspoon jeera
  • 3 tsp white sesame seeds
  • Pinch of hing
  • 1/2 teaspoon
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli powder

Top bhagar

  • 1serving spoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon rai (sarso)
  • 1 teaspoon jeera
  • 3 tsp safed til
  • 1teaspoon red chilli powder (optional)
  • Curry patta (optional)

Method:

1.Sabse pehle aate me oil dalake aate ko moyan kare.

2.Moyan kiye huwe aate me kisi huyi lauki or curd add kare or mix kare saath me garlic, ginger, chilli paste add kare swad anusar namak add kare or gud or chini bhi add karke achhe se mix kare.

3.Ab ek choti si kadai me chouk ki taiyari kare oil garam ho jaye to usme sarso, jeera safed til or pinch of hing add kare last me haldi powder or red chilli powder add karke bane huwe misran me chounk add karke mix kare achhe se wese uper se pani milane ki jarurat nahi rahegi kyoki louckey,curd or gud ka pani se thick paste jesa hi ban jayega.

4.Sare misran ko dhakkan lagake warm place pe 2 hr rehne dijiye.

5.Ab handwe ke cooker me oil lagake grease kare or handwe ke batter ko cooker me add kar lijiye.

6.Ab dusara same bhaghar batter ke top pe chounk lagale aap kam oily bhi bhaghar kar sakte he
Gas ko on kare ret ki plate lagaye or uper cooker rakh dijiye or medium to slow gas pe 30 min tak bake hone dijiye handwe ko
30 min ke baad knife  se check kar lijiye agar knief ekdam saaf bahar nikal jaye to samajiye ki aapka handwa ready he gas off karde.
