Hi frnds one more simple and yet tasty recipe for you guys. That is katla jhol .My dad is a total fan of FISH . So I tried it for him.
So Lets begin with the recipe.

Ingredients Required:

  • Katla Fish- (2 pcs)
  • Potato slices- (1 Cup)
  • Onion Slices- (1 cup)
  • Tomato Chopped (2 Tbl Spn)
  • Green Chillies- (2)
  • Kalo Jeera+ Gota Jeera (2 Tspn)
  • Ginger- (1 inch)
  • Dhaniya Powder- (2 Tspn)
  • Jeera Powder- (2 Tspn)
  • Turmeric Powder- (1 n 1/2 Tspn)
  • Kashmiri Mirch- (2 Tspn)
  • Red Chillie Powder- (1 Tspn)
  • Garam Masala Powder- (1 Tspn)
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Dhone Patta for garnish(coriander leaves)


Method:

1.Marinate the pieces of fish with some salt and turmeric powder and keep aside for 10-15 minutes.Now heat oil in a kadai and fry the pieces till golden brown from both the sides. Take them out in a plate and keep aside.

2.Now in the same oil add kalo jeera and gota jeera. when it stops crakling add the onions and grated ginger. Fry the onions till transparent and light brown.Now add the Tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes are soft.

3.When the tomatoes get soft add potatoes and all the masalas but skip the garam masala. Fry them well and add little water so that the masala doesn’t get burn.

4.When the oil starts separating add water and cover it. cook in medium flame till the potatoes are cooked water is reduced.Add the fish pieces and green chilies and coriander leaves, garam masala.

5.Serve Hot with steam rice.
