RECIPE FOR KHURME

It’s a famous North Indian Recipe. We made it on the occasion of any festival.

Preparation Time :20 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serve : 5

Ingredients Required:

  • Multi purpose flour 1 cup
  • Ghee 1/4 cup
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt a pinch

For sugar syrup

  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Water 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Kesar strands 5-7
  • Pistachios 1 tbsp Chopped
  • Dry rose petals 1 tbsp
  • Ghee/oil for frying

Method:

1.Strain multi purpose flour.
2.Add ghee,salt and baking powder and make a soft daugh with a little bit Luke warm water.
3.Keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
4.Now Spread the daugh and fold it 4-5times.
5.Roll lightly in a 1/2″ thick form.
6.Cut piece into rectangle shape.
7.Heat ghee/oil and fry on a lowest flame till golden brown.
Keep out.

For sugar syrup
1.Add water and sugar in a heavy bottom pan.
2.Boil till it get 1 strain .
3.Add Cardamom powder and kesar strands into the sugar syrup.
4.Let it a little bit cool.
5.Dip Khurme for 10-15 minutes.
6.Keep out and sprinkle pistachios and dry rose petals.
7.Now serve.
