CALZONES SAMOSA( Italian calzones in desi avtar with samosa filling)

Calzone is basically an italian dish, with a filling of cheese , herbs, pepper.
They are best lunch box recipes, and you can always fry or bake them
But i prefer baking it
N my twist is that i used punjabi samosa filling in calzones to give it an authentic indian touch

N to make it healthy i used wheat flour for the outer covering by using sponge method

Ingredients Required:
For outer covering
1 1/4 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp instant yeast
Pinch of sugar
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
Samosa filling
6 boiled potatoes
1/2 cup boiled peas
2 green chilly chopped
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp mirch powder
1/2 tsp jeera
1/2 tsp amchoor powder
1tsp dhania powder
1/4 cup chopped fresh coriand

Preparing of calzone
1. Take warm water, add sugar and sprinkle
Instant yeast. Stir well.
2. Add plain flour and stir, there should be no
Lumps, whisk very well.
3. Close with a lid and let the mixture bubble
For 30 mins.
4. After 30 mins add oil, salt and half cup
Wheat flour. Stir with spatula

5. Now add half cup more wheat flour and
Knead again with the help of spatula.
6. Lastly add rest of flour and gather all flour
Till it leaves the sides .
7. Now knead the dough very nicely till
It becomes smooth and elastic.
8. Now pat water all over the dough and cover
With kitchen towel and let it rise for 30 mins
9. Now your dough has been well risen.
10. Divide in 8 balls. Again leave for 10 mins.
Preparing samosa filling

1. Heat oil, add jeera , let it splutter add green
Green chilly,
2. Addchopped potatoes and peas and all
Masale, mirch, dhania, amchoor, salt
Mix well,

3. Cook on slow gas till done.
4 . Lastly add coriander leaves mash a little
Cool the mixture.
Rolling n baking calzones:
1. Preheat oven for 15 mins at 200•C. By
Greasing the tray
2. Dust the surface very lightly, take a dough
3. Start rolling to 4 inch like a small chapati.
4. Keepiing a gap place the filling on one side
Of chapati. Now cover with other half.
5. Join the edges by applying little water all
Over the disc.
6. Now give impressions with a small fork.
7. Brush with oil.
8. Ready all calzones like this.

9. Place these on greased tray, now bake
Them in already preheated oven till golden
Brown. Cool on wire rack.

10. Serve hot with imli chutney
