RECIPE FOR GUJRATI MASALA MUNCHIES

Ingredients Required:

 

  • 1 big bowl wheat flour
  • 1/2 bowl bajra flour
  • 1/4 bowl maize flour
  • 1 bowl methi(finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • to taste salt
  • 1 pinch asafoetida(hing)
  • 1/2 bowl yoghurt
  • 3 tbsp white seasame seeds
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 1 small bowl oil
  • as needed water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp green chilli paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic-ginger paste
  • 1 cup sooji
  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds(jeera)
  • chaat masala for sprinkling
  • red chilli powder for sprinkling

Method:

1.First of all if you are running out of maize flour at home, take some maize poha or simple cornflakes and grind it into a fine flour.

2 .Mix all the flours listed above, mix all the spices, methi and knead into a semi stiff dough.

3.Now roll a semi thin roti of this dough. With the help of a small round cutter or katori, cut into round shape.

4 .Fry the crisps untill nice golden colour. Sprinkle some chaat masala, red chilli powder on it. Munchies are ready!!
