Here is the healthy replacement for your regular oily tikki/kabab. The healthy methi corn tikki is rich in protein and fiber.

Ingredients Required:

  • Channa Dal – 1/2cup
  • Sweet corn – 1/2 cup
  • Fenugreek leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Soya Chunks-1 cup
  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Green chilies – 2(finely chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp.
  • Rice flour – 3 tbsp
  • White sesame seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Asafetida – a pinch
  • Curry leaves – 4 (chopped)
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – for shallow frying

Method:
1. Soak chana dal in water for 1 hour, Drain and grind it coarsely without adding any water.
2. Add sweet corn Kernels and pulse it till it is partially crushed. Do not grind to a smooth paste.
3. Soak Soya chunks in warm water for 15 min, drain, and squeeze completely.
4. Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mash them.


5. Grease your palm, make small balls and flatten it like tikki or cutlet.

 


6. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the in medium heat till golden brown.
7. Serve hot with green mint coriander chutney or tomato sauce
