MOONG DAAL TIKKI

Ingredients Required:

  • Moong daal – 2 cups
  • Green chillies – 3 to 4
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Potato – 1
  • Cheese cubes – 2 grated
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Chaat Masala – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Green coriander
  • Green capsicum – 1
  • Onion – 1
  • Ginger – 1 big piece
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Method :

1.Wash and soak the moong daal for 4 to 5 hrs.

2.Then boil moong daal for 5 mins in water, remove the water and wash the daal with normal water keep aside for 5 mins.

3.Grind moong daal adding ginger,cumin seeds,coriander and green chillies. Grind coarsly.

4.Then mix chaat masala,capsicum,potato,cheese (grated),onion,red chilli,garam masala and salt with grinded moong daal.

5.Grease hands with little oil and make tikkis.

6. Shallow fry it.

7.Serve with green chutney or ketchup.

Note:
If your making tikkis for small kids don’t add green chillies.
