Upma katori for breakfast ,new twist

Ingredients Required:

  • 1 cup semolina/sooji/Rava roasted
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 tbs green chillies chopped
  • 2 tbs coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp balck Dal( udad)
  • 2 tsp mustard seeds
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 2 tbs yoghurt
  • 2 ,1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 tbs butter
  • Some bread slices
  • 2 tbs green chutney ( coconut, green chillies, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, lemon juice, salt mix and make a paste)
  • 2 tbs tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbs raisins

1.In a bowl add yoghurt and water just mix together with hand blender and keep aside.

2.Heat oil and butter in a pan.Add mustard seeds, and udad Dal and asafoetida.

3.When Dal turn light brown colour than add onions and green chillies , sauté for 2 minutes then add rasins , semolina and roast 1 Minute. Add sugar and salt ,After that add butter milk.

4.And mix well.Cover and cook on medium to low heat 10 to 15minutes.

5.After 15 minutes add coriander leaves and turn off the flame.

6.Flatten the bread and arrange in a muffins mould.Apply butter on bread and bake 400 degree in a preheated oven. Bake for 5 minutes than take side to cool.

7.Arrange bread bowl in serving plate and fill up Upma with ice cream scoop.garnish with green chutney, tomato ketchup,nuts ( for your choice)
