RECIPE FOR NANKHATAI

Ingredients Required:

  • Gram flour – 1 cup
  • Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Desi ghee or vegetable oil – 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Green cardamom – 4-5
  • Pistachios – 4-5

Method:

How to make nan khatai without oven :

1.Peel and grind green cardamom and thinly slice pistachios and Melt ghee.
2.Mix gram flour and sugar in a big size bowl .
3.Now add baking powder and cardamom powder into it and mix .
4.Now add melted ghee (melted at room temperature) in the mixture and with help of your hands mix until you get soft dough. Keep 2-3 tsp of ghee.
5.Take a heavy and plain base cooker and add 300-400 grams salt.
Grease the idli stand and place nankhatai and almond pistachios on it.
6.Now set idli stand in cooker and Cover it.
7.Bake nankhatai on slow and medium flame .
8.After 10-15 min open cooker and get prepare nankhatai and place them on a serving plate.
