Dolma is a steamed dish so quite healthy and light for our stomach cos it don’t contains any oil … its totally fat free !!!
it has lots of vitamins , proteins n green vegetable and have made it in ‘zero oil ‘ and less spices … no cheese , no cream …. just a steamed cabbage leaves with veggies
I have stuffed vegetable mixture with paneer and home made tomato sauce , herbs which really taste Yummyllicious ….. u can serve this in breakfast , evening snacks or else u can have it in lunch or dinner
- Low fat Paneer – 1/2 cup grated
- 1/2 cup boiled Rice
- 1 Tomato – chopped
- Carrot- 1 cup grated
- Onion – 1 chopped
- 2 Spring onion – finely chopped
- Ginger- 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Green chilly -finely chopped
- Pepper powder- I tbsp
- Salt – as per taste
For tomato sauce
- Tomato – blanched
- Ginger and garlic- 1 tbsp
- Green chilly – 1/2 tsp
- Tomato hot n sweet ketchup – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oregano – 1 sachet
- Red chilli flakes – 1/2 tsp
- Calintro – handful
Cabbage detach leaves – 5 to 6
Detach leaves from the cabbage head carefully. Boil them for 5 minutes in salted water Dunk them in cold water immediately and keep aside
1.Now take a pan roast Ginger, garlic n green chilly chopped then grind the tomato blanched and make a puree out of it then sieve n add in a roasted garlic n Ginger n green chilly .
2 .Stir it now add all herbs , sauce and salt and mix it nicely for 2 minutes then switch off the gas .
how to assemble Veg Dolma
1.Take a bowl, add grated paneer, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped green chili, Ginger chopped ,spring onions, grated carrots, 1/2 a cup of boiled rice, salt, pepper powder and handful of cilantro … everything genrously with you lighter hand
2. Stuff the leaves folding inwards….As shown in the video .
3. Steam for 15 to 20 minutes when rolls gets soft and tender .
4 .Non vegetarian lovers can use chicken or mutton mince.
5 . Serve hot with homemade Yummy tomato marinara sauce and tomato sauce …. its all upto your desire …!!!
