RECIPE FOR MASALA SOYA CHUNKS

 

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Serve: 4

Ingredients Required:

  • 2 cups soya chunks
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • Few garlic cloves
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of hing
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • Green coriander
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Method:-

1. Soak soya chunks in warm water for 10 mins

2. Chop one onion for frying grind ginger and garlic with remaining onion and make tomato puree.

3. Heat oil in a vessel add hing,cumin seeds and chopped onion stir a little till the onions are light pink now add the grinded ingredients

4. Now add all the powdered masala fry them for 2 to 3 mins and add tomato puree

5. Fry this mixture in slow flame till oil separates

6. Now squeeze soya chunks and add in the masala and lastly add salt and half cup of water cover it for 6 to 8 mins.

7. Garnish with coriander leaves
