RECIPE FOR METHI MATAR MALAI

Loaded with cream the taste is really awesome do try this recipe and enjoy with family and friends.

Cooking Time:15-20 mins
Serve:4

Ingredients Required:

  • 250 gms Methi
  • 1 cup peas(peeled)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream(I used homemade cream)
  • 1 big sized tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to salt
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp haldi powder
  • To taste salt
  • For garam masala
  • (1 elaichi 1 long 1″ cinnamon) crushed
  • 2-3 pepper corns crushed
  • 1-2 green chillies
  • 2 tsp magaz or kaju paste(melon seeds or cashew paste)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Pinch hing(asafetida)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Little sugar

Method

1.Take a pan and add water when the water starts boiling add methi and peas keep it for 2-3 mins in medium flame then strain the water and keep the methi and peas aside.

2.Now grind the tomato, onion and green chilies and keep aside

3.Heat oil in another pan add hing then add cumin seeds add tomato and onion paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder haldi and red chilli powder

4.Stir continuously until the raw smells disappears.Add crushed peppers and garam masala

5.When the masala leaves the oil add malai or fresh cream
Then add salt and little sugar.

6.Keep the Flame low and let it cook for 4-5 mins

7.Your yummy and tasty Meethi matar malai is ready
